Watch for those who do not know is the art or science of measuring time. Rolex watches have been based on the idea of watchmaking excellence. In fact, the name of self Rolex is a contraction of "horological excellence." A contraction that may or may not know is the merger of two syllables in different words, so "Watch" to "lei" and "excellence" becomes "EX".
The name was given to these watches excellent company that makes them reliably by founder Hans Wilsdorf. In his youth, Wilsdorf worked for a Swiss watch manufacturer. The training was essential to understanding the product, it would eventually take the world. In 1905, moving to London, he aims to make a company that offers long pieces that were both well designed and, ultimately, very affordable. Of course, brand Rolex go on to become high-end, as the name subtly defined.
I wonder when Mr. Wildorf approved in 1960, has realized the extent of its influence, and how truly timeless his watches to be. It seems hard to imagine that without the watch industry at the time the name of Rolex. It is probably thanks in large part by the Hans and the guiding principle of commitment to the watch making craft skills.
